FL Div 3: Kilbride impress in Kilcloon

April 29, 2024

Kilbride's Finn White

Kilbride 1-15 to Blackhall Gaels 0-10

On Saturday evening Kilbride headed to Kilcloon to play Blackhall Gaels in the 5th round of the league.

In a match that started slowly for both teams, Kilbride had plenty of ball but  scores were hard to get. Kilbride led 3 points to 2 after 15 minutes. With an early substitution for the injured Daniel Boyd, Paddy Peters helped his team to lift the intensity with a great performance, Kilbride then matching Blackhall in midfield and gained plenty of possession. The visitors hit some great scores in the last 15 minutes of the first half with points from Adam Malone, Josh Harford, James Gavin and Dave O'Leary finishing out the half leading 0-9 points to 0-3.

Kilbride started well in the second half with some early points but Blackhall came back into the game and narrowing the gap. A goal from Finn White gave Kilbride some breathing space. In the last 10 minutes with points from Josh Harford, Adam Malone and Thomas Egan Kilbride finished the game off strong.

This was their best team performance of the league campaign so far with all playing well. Well done lads!
