Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Dublin beating Galway, Kilkenny beating Dublin, Wexford beating Kilkenny and Wexford beating Carlow (or equivalent) would be standard enough fare in Leinster given the past record 6/7 years.

Galway, like Antrim, are hard to beat at home so I wouldn't be optimistic about our chances there, in fairness."
Dublin beating Galway in the past 6/7 years would be standard enough fare in Leinster!
Not true. Since 2017 Galway won 3, Dublin won 2 and last year was a draw! The record in fact is slightly in Galway's favour.

Replying To Viking66:  "But realistically I think we will win both our last 2 games. Narrowly. I also think you will win both yours. I think Kilkenny will beat Dublin because this group of Dublin players don't really believe they can beat Kilkenny. They should, they are good enough, but they don't. So if you put 50 in my Ladbrokes account and told me I had to do a Tricast with it I'd go Wexford, Galway, Kilkenny in that order. I'm not saying I'm absolutely certain it will pan out that way, I wouldn't be completely shocked if we lost to Carlow, but if you asked me to put my money where my finger is that's the way Id see the Round Robin ending up."
Well unfortunately it's unlikely Antrim will get 3rd place now, so I reckon it will be between Dublin and Wexford score difference after both finish on 5pts. Kilkenny and Galway to play in Leinster Final after finishing on 8pts and 7pts respectively.

In the last 5 completed seasons you have only beaten Dublin once in championship, when it mightve suited you better to lose. You have lost twice and drawn once the other times you played them.

I was answering Barney's assertion, 6/7 years. Have Dublin beaten Galway outside of Parnell Park?
2017 Galway 2-28, Dublin 1-17
2018 Galway 0-26, Dublin 2-19
2019 Dub 3-19, Galway 0-24
2020
2021 Dublin 1-18, Galway 1-14
2022 Galway 0-27, Dublin 0-21
2023 Dublin 2-22, Galway 1-25

That's not the last 6/7 years! and why start in 2017? Dublin win be standard during that period.

Well, we know why you would not want to go back to 2011 maybe :-)

Why? Well because then the record stands Dublin W: 4, Galway win 4, draw 2.

Anyway, as I said, as with Antrim, playing in Salthill/Corrigan is huge factor and will probably swing last game Galway's direction.

You keep changing the goalposts to suit your narrative Viking! Why not go back to 2009 and look at the overall picture?

Sure go back to 1884, if you want! It doesn't get better,

Whatever years you take Dublin beating Galway in Leinster is NOT standard fare, far from it. That's my point. Winning Leinster should be your goal not making a song and dance about your record against any particular county. You might consider your record outside Parnell Park and outside Leinster, it seems to me to be quite poor.

It gets must worse for Dublin the further back ye go because all ye had in 1884 was cricket and rugby and a Clare man to tell ye that hurling existed. He was a cricket man too and had to learn the rules of hurling in Galway.

It tends to be the refereeing as much as the venue that effects this phenomenon imo. You'll rarely get mercilessly rode on your home patch, which is a great starting point for the Galway hurlers.

I've never changed the goalposts Baire. Last 5 years is a pretty standard measure in any sport. If you go back further than that you are usually into teams having very different players.
At the end of the day I don't get where your obvious feeling of superiority is coming from. You have underachieved throughout history. You had one "best team in the country" team in the 80s, and a very good one in the twenty teens, one of the best in that period. Apart from that you have been competitive in Senior hurling some decades, and uncompetitive in others. Pretty much the same as us.

No which is why I have you favourites to beat them in Salthill.

Anyway Baire enough toing and froing about history. Will you have Cathal Mannion back fully fit? He will be vital if you are going to win Leinster or give the AI series a good rattle this year.

What are you on about with your 'feelings of superiority'? Show me one sentence where I have expressed a 'feeling superiority'. That's total rubbish and you know it. I have a fair idea where it's coming from. It's all stems from the fact that Galway are playing in the so called Leinster championship, ye believe it has cost ye and you can barely hide your anger or how much you detest us.

Yes, the 2021 win was in Croke Park.

Fadó an lá a léigh mé é! Casadh an t-údar orm uair amháin, duine uasal. Dhá chlub as Co na Gaillimhe a mhúin rialacha na hiomána don Chíosógach. D'athraigh sé na rialacha go bhfeilfidís na clubanna nua i mBÁC agus dhiúltaigh cuid mhaith do bháireoirí na Gaillimhe an iomáint nua a imirt ar feadh roinnt mhaith blianta.
Bhain na cluichí gaelacha, go mór mór an iomáint leis an bparáiste, is córas Gallda é córas an chontae agus is é atá i bhfeidhm le fada ag an CLG agus tá na cluichí féin ag éirí níos gallda gach bliain.
