Carnaross lost out to a superior Moynalty side in this Division 9 league encounter.
The first half was dominated by Moynalty but Carnaross reeled off 1-3 in the dying moments to stay in touch at the turn of ends. Paddy Nugent was causing Moynalty's defence the most difficulty. The highlight of the half was a superb solo effort for Charlie Murphy when he disposed of 3 defenders before sending the ball sailing between the posts. Tommy Brady also kicked a monster score from distance.
In the second half, the home side began to pull away. Paddy Nugent excelled for Carnaross extending his tally to 1-7 over the 60 minutes. Shane Yore strode forward to see his goal bound effort deflected over for a point. Substitute Kian Farrelly added a fine point from play but Moynalty got 2 goals to add gloss to the scoreboard.
