Liam Cahill is calling on Tipperary supporters to turn out in big numbers for Sunday’s do-or-die Munster SHC encounter with Cork.

A crowd of over 40,000 is expected to attend the eagerly-awaited clash in Thurles and Cahill wants the Tipp fans to be his side's 16th man.

“All we want is to make Thurles a real colosseum again and these boys will perform,” the Tipperary manager told the Nenagh Guardian.

“I will say to Tipperary supporters, get in behind them, support them and try and future-proof Tipperary hurling going forward and hopefully pick up a bit of silverware.”

“I know we’ve probably chugged along at times on dirty petrol as they say if it was a car, but we try so hard in training and it has to come out eventually on the field.”
